Indo-American College is committed to providing financial support to students from diverse backgrounds through a range of scholarships. These scholarships are designed to ensure that deserving students have access to quality education without financial barriers. Below are the details of the scholarships available:

SC/ST Scholarships

The college offers State Government scholarships to students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities, as provided by the District SC/ST Welfare Office, Thiruvannamalai. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must maintain a minimum of 90% attendance each academic year. The scholarship is aimed at alleviating financial burdens while encouraging consistent attendance and academic performance.

  • Income Ceiling: Rs. 2 Lakhs
  • Eligible Beneficiaries: Students belonging to SC/ST communities.

Minority Welfare Scholarship

Students belonging to minority communities (Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Jains) can avail of this scholarship to support their educational journey. This scholarship aims to assist students from these communities in pursuing higher education without financial stress.

  • Income Ceiling: Rs. 2 Lakhs
  • Eligible Beneficiaries: Students belonging to minority communities.

Abboy Trust Scholarship

Indo-American College, through the Abboy Trust, offers scholarships to meritorious and economically disadvantaged students. Each year, Rupees Two Lakhs is allocated to support deserving students selected from each class. This scholarship reflects the college’s commitment to educational equity and supporting those who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need.

  • Eligibility Criteria: Poor-cum-meritorious students or those who are educationally motivated.

Uzhavar Pathukappu Thittam Scholarship

Under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Labourers – Farmers Social Security and Welfare Scheme, 2006, this scholarship is provided to the wards of marginalized farmers. Eligible students must possess a Marginal Farmers Card. The scholarship amount varies depending on the course and gender of the student:

  • Male students pursuing UG degree courses: Rs. 1,750 per year.
  • Female students pursuing UG degree courses: Rs. 2,250 per year.
  • PG students (male and female): Rs. 2,250 and Rs. 2,750 per year, respectively.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Students' parents must possess a Marginal Farmers Certificate.
