About Citizen Consumer Club (CCC)
The Citizen Consumer Club (CCC) at Indo-American College was established to raise awareness among consumers across all levels of society regarding their rights and the means to seek justice when affected. The club acts as a platform to educate and empower students, who can then extend this knowledge to the broader community, promoting informed consumerism.
Responsibilities
The CCC at Indo-American College undertakes various initiatives aimed at instilling responsible citizenship and consumer awareness among students:
- Understanding Rights and Duties: Equip students with a comprehensive understanding of their fundamental rights as citizens, while also educating them about their duties as responsible members of society.
- Consumer Rights Education: Infuse knowledge and skills related to consumer rights, teaching students about product standards, quality, and market dynamics. The focus is on developing informed consumers who can make discerning choices.
- Awareness of Consumer Laws Educate students about laws enacted for consumer protection and the relevant enforcement authorities. This knowledge empowers students to be proactive in seeking justice when consumer rights are violated.
- Building Enlightened Citizens: Lay the foundation for a generation of enlightened citizen-consumers who will contribute to a just and fair society in the future.
- Promoting Civic Responsibilities: Cultivate awareness among students about their duties and responsibilities as citizens of India, emphasizing the importance of civic engagement and social responsibility.
